I love Carhart jackets because they are warm and tough as nails. One small complaint that I hear from guys (and myself for that matter) is the fact that the jackets are really heavy. Obviously that has a lot to do with the quality but it can be a bit limiting especially if you’re climbing in and our of equipment or running up and down a ladder all day.
This new jacket is built of Quick Duck® 8.5-ounce, 60% cotton/40% polyester canvas with Rain Defender™ durable water-repellent finish that’s 30% lighter yet ounce-for-ounce as durable as our legendary Carhartt sandstone duck. Nylon lining quilted to mid-weight polyester insulation provides warmth, and a pull-up quilt-lined hood with draw-cord closure adds protection whenever needed.
Working outside here in New Hampshire means trying to stay warm on cold blustery days. I’ve been wearing a traditional Sandstone Carhart for years. I love their jackets because they are so durable and warm. After wearing this new Quick Duck jacket I’m really pleased at how much lighter it is yet it’s still super warm and just as durable as my older jackets.
Another great feature of the Quick Duck Jac is the Rain Defender™ water-repellent finish. I recently wore the jacket outside during a rain storm and I couldn’t believe how well it repeals water. I was outside for more than two hours and the jacket never seemed to absorb the water like my older jacket would have.
Priced at just over $100 these jackets are a great value. These are jackets that everyone from contractors to homeowners can rely on to give them great performance and unmatched quality. If you’re in the market for a new work jacket then I’d highly recommend you check out the huge selection of Carhart Jackets over at G&L Clothing. They have a great selection of sizes including Big & Tall and they offer FREE shipping on orders over $99.
