I bought 6 gallons of SW Deckscapes to water seal my deck. It looks
good on the Internet but, on the cans, it says NOT A WORD about
"water sealer".
Whats rhe deal?
@ Mike - Sherwin Williams Deckscapes is made and sold as an exterior deck sealing product. Most deck sealers help protect the wood from sun, rain, wind and other environmental conditions. I've yet to find a deck sealer that claims to completely seal out water.
They look like handy tips. We don't get snow in Melbourne, but most of the year is pretty cold. We only have hot days for few weeks in the Summer. We bought a new fence and still haven't painted it.

How did the Deckscapes S william waterborn sealer worked out? I need to re-seal my deck in the next week and I'm considering using the same sealer.
Laura - Deckscapes is ok. I've actually been using One TIME the last couple years with much better luck.
Does anyone know if this product (Sherwin Williams Deckscapes Advanced WaterBorne Formula, Exterior Deck Stain - Clear/Sealer) works on hardwood (mahogony).
Does anyone know if it is essentially required to use Sherwin Williams Stain and Sealer Remover and then the Revive product if I am resealing my deck? It currently has Deckscapes by Sherwin Williams on it (semi transparent) and we are going to use a Deckscapes product (solid) this time.
Trying to figure out if it's a sales ploy for Sherwin Williams on the extra products. Would simply pressure washing the deck prior to re-staining be sufficient. I am located in NC.
Sonya - I'm not sure but I will say that I really trust my local SW dealer. I'd go ask them, I have no reason to doubt their advice. Good luck.
