New PORTER-CABLE® 18V Cordless/120V Corded Jobsite Radio Amps Up the Work Site With Durability and Features

TOWSON, Md. (Aug. 19, 2010) – PORTER-CABLE is expanding its professional-grade 18V System with a new Jobsite Radio (model PC18JR) that delivers durability, performance and quality features at an excellent value.

“PORTER-CABLE is excited to add a jobsite radio to our popular 18V cordless tool line. This new addition allows us to provide additional solutions for professional end users both on and off the jobsite,” said Derek Vlcko, product manager, PORTER-CABLE. “This durable radio also boasts user-friendly features that help make the PC18JR a worry-free tool just about anywhere it’s used.”

Featuring a full protective roll cage and a flexible antenna, the PC18JR can stand up – even on its side – to tough conditions. Its durability is matched with weather resistant premium stereo speakers designed to withstand outdoor conditions and provide clear sound quality over jobsite background noise.

The PC18JR includes a backlit clock and a digital tuner so professionals can choose stations at-a-glance from 10 FM and 10 AM presets or use the seek function for added convenience. The radio is also equipped with a 3.5 millimeter auxiliary input to work with external MP3 and CD players.

The PC18JR operates on Lithium and NiCd PORTER-CABLE 18V System batteries, or with 120V mains power. Operating with 120 Volt mains power activates the two 120V AC outlets to provide additional outlets for other corded tools on the site.

The PC18JR will be available at Lowe’s in October 2010 for a suggested retail price of $99.97. It comes with a three-year limited warranty, one-year free service contract and 90-day money back guarantee.
