New From Delta at 2010 International Builder’s Show

New Products From Delta

We had the pleasure of visiting the Delta exhibit at this year’s International Builder’s Show in Las Vegas. The exhibit was huge and filled with lots of new products that we wanted to share with you. The following is a quick look at some great new products from Delta.

H2Okinetic showerheads

The H2Okinetic Technology is quieter than conventional showers and uses no moving parts. And the water savings can be substantial; 1.5 gallons of water per minute actually feels like 2.5 gallons per minute; this can result in a 36% decrease in water usage compared to a high-flow system.

Pilar with Touch 2 0 Technology

The user can touch anywhere on the spout or handle with their hand, wrist or forearm to start and stop the flow of water (for a demo, visit deltafaucet.com/touch), making it easier to turn on the water flow when hands are messy or turn off the water when it is not needed between tasks, saving water and energy.

We’ve tested and reviewed the new Pilar faucet and we think it’s great! Check out our Pilar Touch 2 0 Technology Review.

Linden

The Linden pull-out faucet with Multi-Flow enables consumers to toggle between a water-saving flow-rate of 1.5 gpm for ordinary tasks and an enhanced flow rate of 2 gpm when more water is needed. Easy-to-use buttons are located on the pull-out wand, allowing users to easily adjust the stream and flow rate.

Universal Design

The aging population and the need for universal design is an important issue facing the building and remodeling industry. Building on its heritage in developing products that enhance the way people live with water, Delta is introducing a new line of universal design bathing systems. The inaugural three pieces of the product line include:

  1. Zero-threshold shower bases: barrier-free shower bases with built-in trench drains, which allow homeowners to choose custom tile or wall covering.
  2. Zero-threshold contemporary shower enclosures: complete shower systems, available in two sizes, which feature a zero-threshold shower base, integrated grab bars, a flip-up seat, Grail® 17T shower including TempAssure® controls and a Delta thermostatic valve cartridge, and ActivTouchÔ handshower.
  3. Transfer tub: a more functional alternative to conventional tub-shower installations with a bump out ledge for more comfortable transfers or assisted bathing.

Proximity faucet (commercial)

We consider this the next generation in hands-free functionality, as Proximity™ Sensing Technology enables easy operation by forming a 4” field around the body of the faucet. When the user’s hand enters the field, the faucet is turned on. When the user removes their hands from the water stream, the faucet turns off within 2 seconds. The designs, free of optics and infrared, are easy to maintain due to their clean lines and are able to fit into a variety of designed spaces.

  • Wow! Those proximity faucets look sweet...it would be awesome to have one of those in the home (being a total geek for gadgets, I've always been slightly bitter that the airport has cooler automatic faucets than I do).

Then all I'll need is a proximity urinal:)

    Sweet post!
