Master Bedroom Makeover

Our new home is almost three years old and I’ve been married over nine years. What’s the big deal? Well….we’ve had the same furniture since we were married and it’s all furniture my wife had before she met me. Needless to say we’ve put off buying bedroom furniture far too long and I finally gave in!

Solid Birch Bedroom Set

We ordered the bedroom furniture shown in the picture. Our bedroom walls are already yellow so they will remain that color. Because we built a rather good size walk-in closet recently we didn’t order a chest of drawers. We ordered two night stands, the bed and a media center.

I chose this set for several reasons but one of them was the construction. This bedroom set features like English dovetail drawer construction for durability, floating
top case construction so solid tops will move with humidity to eliminate cracking and splitting and dust protection to keep pieces from racking show the level of commitment to quality construction.

Bedding

For bedding I left that up to the decorator in the house and she picked out the quit in the next photo. It’s from LL Bean and fits the style of our home nicely. We’ve always been VERY impressed with the quality of LL Bean products so I’m sure this will be another great product. The best part is they warranty their products, so if the quilt comes apart they will replace it, no questions asked!

New Flat Screen TV

The media center or TV stand is designed for today’s flat screen TV’s. This is something that I’m quite excited about. In fact, this gave me the perfect excuse to FINALLY get a flat screen TV! That’s right I also ordered a 32-inch flat screen TV for our master bedroom.

I ordered the Panasonic VIERA X1 Series TC-L32X1 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV for our bedroom makeover. We currently have an old 32 inch CTR that would never fit on top of the new dresser. We’ll move that TV to the basement for our future basement project.

So stay tuned for the big reveal in a few weeks. I’ll post before and after photos so you can see the difference some nice furniture makes.
