Baby Nursery with Chair Rail

The following is a popular article that ran a couple years ago. Adding chair rails to rooms can be a great way to turn an ordinary room into an architectural pleasing room.

Just before our daughter was born we remodeled one of the bedrooms that would become the nursery. The makeover included the installation of a decorative chair rail along with a pink and green paint scheme. The room was finished off with decorative lady bug artwork.

This article shows off the finished nursery and a list of related articles showing how we created the look. As you can see we installed a chair rail (see the links below for information on how to install a chair rail) and painted the room a light shade of green and pink. We had the baby furniture from when our son was born, it’s a very nice set of cherry furniture that has worked very well for us.

If you’re getting ready to do a nursery makeover then I recommend you consider a chair rail. It allows you to use two colors on the walls and also creates a nice architectural feature.

  • How adorable! I love the use of chair rails in a room, any room! You did a great job and I want to thank you for posting it again because I missed it the first time around.

  • When selecting baby furnitures, i always choose the brand with top of the line quality eventhough it costs more.',:

  • I love the paint colors...can you please provide me with the brand and color numbers for both the green and the pink, as we want to do our daughters room in the same colors. Thank you, in advance!

    • Karen - Sure wish I knew what the colors were....that was almost 9 years ago! My daughter just turned 8 this Spring.
