Over the last six months we’ve been using/testing/abusing a new kitchen faucet from American Standard. Before I go into the particulars on this faucet I wanted to give you a quick back-story on why we have this new faucet.
We built our new home just over 5 years ago. Like many homeowners I did endless research on products for the new home but I occasionally fell victim to the smooth talking sales people. This was especially true when we bought our faucets. Be sure you listen to this part really well and even read it several times. The original faucet cost back then almost $1K!! Guess what? It failed after only 5 years. This other brand was supposed to be the best…..what a joke.
So now to present day and our new faucet. I’ve successfully installed dozens of American Standard Fixtures in my own homes and the houses we build for clients and I’ve NEVER had a problem. So we decided to get an American Standard Culinaire Bridge Kitchen Faucet to replace the other broken one.
Below is my review on American Standard’s Culinaire Bridge Kitchen Faucet.
Our new (5 yr old) home is a fairly classic colonial style home with all the modern updates. So we wanted a faucet that offered the aesthetics of old but all the modern design functionality of new. Well I’m happy to say we found that in the Culinaire Bridge Kitchen Faucet from American Standard.
This faucet is packed with great quality and features. Features include:
What good is a pretty faucet if it drips, leaks or falls apart? Not only is the Culinaire Bridge Kitchen Faucet beautiful it also performs flawlessly. The handles have a really solid yet smooth operation. The swing arm pivots from side to side easily yet feels very rigidly attached to the stem.
One of the functional things that I like best about the faucet is the height of the stem which allows you to fill very tall pots. We love it because our huge Lobster pot now fits under the spout easily!
Many could argue that style and beauty are defined simply by the onlooker. However, based on all the compliments this new faucet has received here at the house over the Holidays I’d say this one is beautiful to everyone! It’s obvious that American Standard pays attention to all of the current styles. Everyone that’s seen it here has raved about it and that’s all the score I need!
I can honestly say I have zero complaints with this faucet. American Standard continues to build high quality products at an affordable price. This faucet is less than half the cost of a similar designer brand. It’s built with brass parts, ceramic discs and all the same quality products. The bottom line is this faucet offers tremendous value without giving up on quality and beauty. I’m so pleased with this faucet that I highly recommend it.
