While the upfront costs are higher on the metal roofing the long term cost of ownership is much less. In addition, the painted finish on quality metal roofing outlasts the life span of shingles.

Who tests the durability of these products to withstand such storms. Issue #2 is the noise factor. I may not be able to sleep thru a midnight rain under a metal roof.
