Router Table Extension | Must Have Table Saw Add-On
Route Table Extension
I’ve been wanting to get a router table extension for my Delta Table Saw for quite some time. I haven’t really seen one that caught my eye until today! Today I happen to stumble upon the Bench Dog Tools 40-102 ProMax Cast Iron Router Table Extension that fits contractor style table saws. This router extension table is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for to upgrade my existing router table (I need to get this on my wife’s list of tools to buy me for special occasions!).
This cast iron router extension table replaces the standard metal table extension that comes with most contractor style table saws. Basically you remove the standard table extension and replace it with this cast iron one that’s set up to accept router table inserts that fit different types of routers. You also get a really nice fence system with the router table extension and another miter slot and a T slot for additional accessories.
The Router Table Extension Features:
- Fits all contractor-grade table saws and all right-tilt cabinet-grade table saws that have 27-Inch deep by 1-1/2-Inch thick cast iron tables.
- Included ProFence quickly dismounts and hangs on provided j-hooks while you use your tablesaw.
- Includes router top, fence, and mounting hardware. ProPlate is sold separately. Plate opening 8-1/4 by 11-3/4.
- Limited Lifetime Warranty.
I really like the idea of being able to use my router on a fixed table at the height of my table saw. Plus, my table saw is on a mobile table saw base which makes it really easy to move around. By installing the router table extension on my table saw I’ll be able to eliminate one piece of equipment from my work shop. When I’m not using the router table portion you just take off the fence and hang it on the hooks below the extension table. That way your table saw is used like it normally would with a standard extension table.
I can buy the Bench Dog Tools 40-102 ProMax Cast Iron Router Table Extension from Amazon for $283 with FREE shipping!
